Single exit exhaust is the way to do it on a gbr

I feel like single exhaust always looks better. Just a personal thing.

I like it… when the bumper is made for single exhaust not dual…
Irritates me so much when I see that. This one doesn’t look horrible. But when there is a gaping hole in your bumper… Fucking at least bondo that shit. Shit.

looks cool, but cuts performance

The only time it would cut performance is if you have 6 or more cylinders. Not sure how flat fours work but I know a straight four is only gonna have one exhaust mani. No sense in bottle necking it to have a dual exhaust.

That’s not true. If you’re running an inline six with only one air intake running in and one running out then you’re fine, but if you’re running something with two sets of overhead cams (V layouts and boxer layouts) to increase performance you run an intake into each side. therefore when you run the exhaust out you run two pipes as well.

So what isn’t true? You just said exactly what I said. I didn’t know about boxer but i know Dual is over kill for straight lined cylinders.

boxer engine=flat four which is what subaru and porsches have. Same with the FRS/BRZ/GT86. cmon meng.

Right… I said I didn’t know much about flat. And that it looks like shit when the bumper has a hole for a dual pipe but no dual pipe. I’m still trying to see where I said something wrong…

You said that not having a dual exhaust only cuts performance when you have six or more cylinders.

With the exception of flat sixes. Right. Forgot to mention those. Other than that. I’m right. 1 manifold doesn’t need 2 exhaust outlets.

… did you like not read a single thing I said. A flat engine would be just like a V format engine.

…did you not read a single thing I said? I said that I don’t know anything about flat (inlines) but I know that on straight engines it would be a waste. A straight engine would have one exhaust mani, which would mean you wouldn’t need two exhaust outlets…
I’m done with this. I’m just a car appreciater. Not an enthusiast. I honestly have no fucking clue how they work and really don’t want to argue on the matter further. Especially since we seem to be saying the same thing…

I wasn’t talking about inline engines though. I was talking about this subaru which runs a turbo flat four.
